Rode M3 Microphone

Lugging this around for a gig was no problem thanks to the heavy metal body, and running it straight off a 9V battery meant no extra power supply in my bag. The internal shock mount handled a bass-heavy floor with zero rumble in the signal.

Finally got to test this with both phantom power and a 9V battery, and the internal shock mount really does cut down on handling noise. The metal body feels solid enough to survive a few drops too.

I was pleasantly surprised how well it picks up vocals even at a distance, and the battery option makes it easy to use on location without hunting for an outlet.
