Finally upgraded to brass step-up rings and the difference is immediate—this one threads onto my 52mm lens perfectly every time, no cross-threading worries. The machined finish feels solid, and it cinches down tight without any wobble when I attach my 58mm polarizer.

The threads are butter-smooth when screwing on my 58mm filters, and the brass construction feels much sturdier than the aluminum rings I've used before. No light leaks or wobbling even with a heavy polarizer attached — exactly what I needed for my 52mm lens.
