Rode Deadkitten ウインドスクリーン

I was skeptical about how much difference the artificial fur would make, but it completely eliminated wind noise during my outdoor recording session. Even in gusts that were pretty strong, the audio stayed clean and usable.

Finally got to test this in some strong coastal gusts and the thick fake fur did exactly what it’s supposed to—zero wind rumble in the recording. The way it slips over the mic cage is snug but not tight, so setup takes seconds. Exactly what I needed for outdoor audio work.

Took this out on a breezy rooftop shoot and my dialogue tracks came back clean with zero rumble. The artificial fur is dense enough that it stays put on the mic without any tape.
