Flipping the reversible screw to switch between my camera and spotting scope took seconds, and those flip locks are so secure I never worry about the legs slipping. For birding in the field, this carbon monopod is the perfect balance of sturdy support and easy portability.

I was worried a carbon fiber pole this light would feel flimsy, but at just 1.1 pounds it’s surprisingly rigid for wildlife shooting. The reversible thread means I can switch between my ball head and a quick-release plate without carrying an adapter.

The flip locks are smooth and fast to adjust, even with one hand, which makes setup quick on the trail. It’s sturdy enough for my mirrorless with a 70-200mm lens, though the included foot could be grippier for uneven ground. Solid build for the weight, no complaints for the price.
