Switching to this collar made balancing my 180-600mm on a gimbal head so much easier—the Arca-Swiss groove is precisely cut and locks down solid. It's noticeably lighter than the original Nikon part too, which helps when handholding for long wildlife shoots.

The CNC machining is flawless, and it locks onto the lens with zero play. My tripod setup feels much more secure now, and the extra grip when carrying the rig by the collar is a nice bonus.

Finally I can use my 180-600mm with a monopod without worrying about balance—the Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail groove makes mounting a breeze. The all-metal construction feels solid and sturdy, no wobble at all even with heavy glass attached.
