The in-focus sharpness is incredible—it makes skin texture look almost three-dimensional. Picking up details in shadows that I never noticed before, while the bokeh transitions are buttery smooth. Exactly what I wanted for portrait work, especially at f/1.4.

I was surprised how much the glass-molded aspheric lens improves sharpness wide open — even at f/1.4, details stay crisp. The autofocus locks on quickly and silently, which made shooting candids a breeze.
