Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R APD 鏡頭

The autofocus is snappy enough for my portrait work, but the real magic is in how the f/1.2 aperture isolates a subject with that creamy, dreamy background blur. The APD element makes a subtle but real difference in the smoothness of out-of-focus areas.

I was a bit worried about the weight, but the build quality feels solid and the autofocus is surprisingly quiet for such a fast lens.

That f/1.2 aperture really delivers the dreamy, creamy background blur I was hoping for, and it's sharp as a tack on the eyes even wide open. Makes every portrait session feel like I'm cheating.
