The focus breathing is almost nonexistent, which made pulling focus on a client interview feel way more controlled than my old glass. The manual iris ring is buttery smooth, too, and the video has this stable, cinematic quality I didn't expect straight out of the box.

Putting this on my gimbal for a shoot, the focus pull was incredibly smooth thanks to the VCM and Nano USM. The image quality at f/1.4 is stunningly sharp, even wide open. It’s an absolute workhorse for video.

I've been using this lens for indoor video interviews, and the manual iris ring makes it incredibly easy to adjust exposure smoothly on the fly.
