Technical Details: Sony Cinema Line FX2 Camera Body with Handle

As a gateway into a professional filmmaking career, the FX2 is a full-frame camera in the Cinema Line that inherits the visual philosophy of Sony's top-level VENICE series. With high mobility, operability, expandability and reliability, it's ideal for solo shooting, and features enhanced still image functions designed to support filmmaking.

Key Features:
  • Professional cinematic look
  • Tiltable high-definition electronic viewfinder
  • Effective heat management
  • Durable magnesium alloy chassis
  • Digital audio without degradation

The FX2 inherits the BIG6 (Home) screen from high-end CineAlta cameras such as VENICE, which allows you to easily monitor six essential parameters in MOVIE mode: FPS (frame rate), ISO, Shutter (speed/angle), Aperture or ND Filter, Look, and White Balance.

HDMI Type-A terminal enables 4K 60p (59.94p) 4:2:2 10-bit or 16-bit RAW video output to an external recorder for flexible post production. Video output via HDMI can occur simultaneously with proxy recording to an internal memory card.

Emma B. ★★★★★

The full-frame sensor delivers that gorgeous cinematic depth of field I’ve been chasing, and the included handle makes handheld shots feel rock-solid. Focus pulls are buttery smooth with the built-in controls.

William Z. ★★★★★

I’ve been shooting with this for two weeks now, and the full-frame sensor’s color science is noticeably richer than my old setup. The included handle makes handheld gimbal shots feel balanced without extra rigging.

Chloe ★★★★★

The dual base ISO on this body makes low-light shooting incredibly clean—I was genuinely surprised I could push it that far without noise. The included handle also gives you that extra mounting point for a monitor without needing a cage right away.
