Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Series Lens - Sigma

The Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Series Lens offers exceptional optical performance tailored for artistic and creative applications. Here's a breakdown of its technical specifications:

1. Maximum Aperture: The lens features a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture, ideal for shooting in low-light conditions and providing precise control over focus for shallow depth of field effects.

2. Optical Design: The lens incorporates three F Low Dispersion (FLD) and four Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements to correct chromatic aberrations throughout the focusing range. This design ensures high image sharpness, clarity, and contrast regardless of focus point or aperture setting.

3. Super Multi-Layer Coating: Lens elements are treated with a super multi-layer coating to minimize lens flare and ghosting, resulting in contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery even in backlit conditions.

4. Advanced Optical Structure: The lens utilizes an advanced optical structure to achieve high resolution and sharpness with consistent edge-to-edge illumination. A pair of aspherical elements, including one in the rear of the optical design, correct sagittal coma flare, distortion, and axial chromatic aberration while maintaining peripheral brightness and sharpness at the fast f/1.4 aperture.

5. Diaphragm: The lens features a rounded nine-blade diaphragm, contributing to the creation of smooth and attractive out-of-focus areas.

6. Autofocus System: The integrated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) provides quick and quiet autofocus performance. An optimized AF algorithm enhances focusing accuracy and speed, with full-time manual focus override available for precise adjustments.

7. Construction: The lens is designed for Sigma SA-mount cameras and features a robust physical design suitable for professional use.

8. Compatibility: The lens is designed for full-frame cameras but can also be used with APS-C models, providing a 36mm equivalent focal length.

In summary, the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Series Lens offers outstanding optical performance, advanced features, and a sturdy physical design, making it an excellent choice for photographers seeking high-quality results in artistic and creative applications.
