Combined to the lens elements is the ED element (extra-low dispersion glass) which not only provides Apochromatic lens effect but also guarantees more compact and lighter weight in addition to its magnesium alloy construction. The Z series binoculars are also waterproof, nitrogen-filled and unique hydrophobic coating .
