The adapter ring threads on smoothly and doesn't add much bulk, which I was worried about. The UV filter doesn't seem to affect image quality at all, just protects the lens nicely.

The metal hood and lens cap feel solid and click into place perfectly, so the whole kit protects the lens without adding bulk. The multicoated UV glass is crystal clear too, I've shot straight into sunlight with zero haze and the adaptor ring fits my X100V snugly.
