The NiSi 4x5.65" Nano IRND Soft-Edge Graduated 1.2 Filter offers a 4-stop light reduction, making it ideal for managing exposure in high-contrast scenes—especially where bright skies meet darker landscapes.
Unlike the human eye, which can adapt to both light and shadow simultaneously, modern cameras have limited dynamic range. This filter compensates for that limitation by gradually transitioning from dark to clear, reducing highlights in brighter areas (such as the sky) while preserving exposure in the midtones and shadows. Its soft-edge graduation makes it perfect for scenes with less defined horizons, like mountainous terrain or forested landscapes.
