The NiSi 4x4" Nano IRND Soft-Edge Graduated 0.9 Filter is a 3-stop graduated neutral density filter designed to reduce brightness in specific areas of the frame—most commonly the sky—without affecting the rest of the image. This allows for a more balanced exposure, particularly in high-contrast scenes.

Unlike the human eye, which can perceive a wide range of tones simultaneously, camera sensors often struggle to retain detail in both highlights and shadows. This filter helps solve that issue by selectively darkening bright areas while keeping midtones and shadows properly exposed.
