With a medium-edged transition from dark to clear, this filter offers a more defined gradient than soft-edge GNDs—making it ideal for scenes with buildings, small mountains, and other mid-sized elements rising into the horizon. Its more compact transition zone (40% smaller than soft GND) makes it especially effective for capturing detail-rich shots during sunrises and sunsets.
