Nisi 72mm SMC UV Filter

The NiSi 72mm SMC L395 UV Filter is a general-purpose, clear UV filter designed to block ultraviolet light and reduce the blue haze often seen in daylight photography. It does not affect exposure settings or introduce additional color or contrast, aside from eliminating unwanted blue tones.

This filter absorbs 28% of UV light at 395 nanometers and gradually eliminates UV wavelengths below this point, allowing only visible light to pass through. This helps maintain true-to-life color and clarity in both photo and video captures under natural daylight.

Made with high-quality Asahi glass, the filter offers excellent clarity and color accuracy, transmitting about 98.5% of visible light. It features a slim yet durable 3.0mm aluminum-alloy frame to reduce the risk of vignetting and is compatible with other 72mm screw-on filters.

To further enhance performance, both sides of the glass are treated with an anti-reflective, hydrophobic coating. This reduces reflections and ghosting, while also making the surface easier to clean by repelling water more effectively.
