PM UV Standard 58mm Filter

The multi-coating on this 58mm filter cut the glare perfectly during a beach shoot—my skies came out crisp instead of washed out. Screwed on smoothly and feels solid.

Shot a whole afternoon in harsh noon sun and the haze just disappeared from the skyline shots, colors popped without any fiddling in post. The glass is thin and light, barely noticeable on the lens, and it’s taken a few knocks without a scratch.

I was skeptical about a UV filter making much difference, but my coastal shots came out noticeably clearer with the haze gone. It's been on my lens for weeks, and the glass still wipes clean easily. Solid pick for both color and black and white.
