The 6061-T6 aluminum feels rock-solid when I torque it down, and the vertical grip position is so well-machined that my R5 sits dead-level in the portrait slot. It’s been through a full day of hiking and the camera never shifted a millimeter once locked.

The cutouts for the ports and battery door line up perfectly, so I don't have to remove the bracket to swap cards. The bottom plate slides on smoothly and locks tight with no wobble, exactly what I needed for my tripod setup.

I was pleasantly surprised by how solid the aluminum feels when mounted—it adds no noticeable wobble. The cutouts give perfect access to the battery door and ports, which saved me from removing it constantly on a recent shoot.
