Kodak Portra 400 36exp

Loaded a roll for a bright outdoor portrait session and the low contrast handled harsh midday shadows beautifully. Grain is practically invisible even in the sky, which is exactly what I wanted. This will be my go-to for any situation where I can't control the light perfectly.

Shot a roll of this at my sister's outdoor wedding and the colors came back so rich without looking oversaturated. The fine grain is honestly impressive for a 400 speed film, even in the shadowy reception shots.

Skin tones came out dead-on neutral for a daylight portrait session, which is exactly what I wanted from this stock. The grain is so fine at 400 that I barely had to do any cleanup in post, though I did wish the contrast was just a touch higher for the shadows.
