The image stabilization is a lifesaver for handheld shots at the long end, and the wide aperture gives a beautiful, creamy background blur. I’ve been getting crisp results even in lower evening light.

The autofocus is snappy and accurate thanks to the linear motor, making it easy to track birds in flight. The large maximum aperture at the long end really helps in lower light, too.

The image stabilization is fantastic for handheld shots in low light, and I love how sharp the photos are even at the long end of the zoom range. It’s a solid performer for a walkaround telephoto lens.
