Timothy T. ★★★★★ Oct 23, 2026

The VC really works wonders — I was able to get sharp handheld shots at 500mm without a tripod, and the lens is surprisingly light for its reach.

Eli Z. ★★★★★ Oct 22, 2026

I’ve been lugging this thing around on hikes and it’s genuinely shocking how light it feels for a 500mm—closed up it slips right into my daypack. The zoom ring is smooth enough to dial in on a distant eagle without fumbling, and the VC kept my handheld shots tack sharp even at the long end.

William ★★★★★ Oct 21, 2026

The VC really lives up to the hype—I shot a whole afternoon of birds in flight with sharp, steady results and didn't feel the weight until I packed up. Having that reach in a lens that collapses to just over 8 inches makes it a no-brainer for travel.
