Picked this up for travel and it covers everything from landscapes to portraits without swapping lenses. The f/3.5-4.5 aperture is plenty bright for most daylight shots, and the zoom range feels just right for a walkaround kit. Autofocus is snappy too, which I wasn't expecting at this price point.
