Rode Custom Pin-Head

I was a little worried about swapping the mesh on my PinMic, but this unpainted head fit perfectly and the camouflage potential is exactly what I needed for outdoor shoots. Since it’s unpainted, I could match it to my environment without any glare.

Swapped out the stock mesh for this unpainted head, and it took paint perfectly for blending into my field rig. The fit on the PinMic is snug and secure, no rattling at all.

Painting this mesh head to match my gear took way less effort than I expected, and the fit onto the mic body was spot on. If you're trying to keep a mic hidden outdoors, having a spare unpainted head to customize is honestly worth it. Just remember you're only getting the head here, not the capsule.
