The black mist effect is subtle but noticeable, taking the edge off digital sharpness without making things look muddy. It screws onto the rear of the lens, so you don't need a matte box or step-up rings. Really happy with how it handles highlights on my ATHENA lenses.

The diffusion is subtle enough that I don't lose sharpness in the highlights, but it completely kills that harsh digital edge on skin tones. It threaded onto my lens smoothly and instantly made the image look more cinematic without any weird color cast.

I’ve been shooting with this filter for a week now, and the way it takes the edge off harsh highlights while keeping skin tones natural is really impressive. The 1/4 diffusion is subtle enough for most indoor scenes but still gives that soft, cinematic look I was after.
