I was a bit skeptical about adding a base to my monopod, but the quick-release plate makes setup surprisingly fast. It adds just the right amount of stability for video panning without weighing me down.

Finally, a stable base that keeps my monopod from wobbling on uneven ground — the ball head adjustment is buttery smooth. I can switch between a low-angle shot and a standing position in seconds without fussing with the clamp.

Adding a ball head to a monopod base like this makes panning and tilting for video so much smoother than I expected. The quick release plate is a huge time-saver when switching between shots. Definitely solved the wobble I used to get with just a monopod foot.
