Leofoto PG-2S Folding Gimbal Head

Switching from a ball head to this folding gimbal head was a huge upgrade for my panning shots, and the smooth fluid drag feels much more controlled. It folds down surprisingly flat for a lens base this sturdy, fitting easily into my small backpack pocket.

The locking mechanism on this folding gimbal head clicks into place with reassuring precision, making setup in the field feel solid and fast. I've used it for tracking fast-moving birds, and the smooth panning is exactly what I needed for action shots.

The folding mechanism is just brilliant for fitting into my backpack without sacrificing stability, and the smooth tracking on birds in flight feels effortless.
