The autofocus locks on so quickly I captured a bird in flight on my first try, and the weight is manageable enough for a full day of hiking. The image quality from this telephoto makes the extra cost feel totally worth it.

I was blown away by how sharp the images are even at f/5.6, and the balanced weight made hiking with it feel effortless. Perfect for capturing distant birds without sacrificing medium format quality.

Finally took it to a local game reserve last weekend and the autofocus on birds in flight was impressively sticky. The balance makes handholding manageable even for an hour or two, which surprised me for a lens this long.
