The image stabilization is a game-changer for handheld shooting at this focal length—my keeper rate in dim church light has tripled. Focus locks on fast and stays silent, which is a relief after older lenses. First session with it felt like cheating.

The bokeh from that f/1.8 aperture is incredibly smooth, and having built-in image stabilization makes handheld shooting in dim light much easier than I expected. It's noticeably sharp even wide open, which is exactly what I needed for portraits.

The f/1.8 aperture is incredibly sharp wide open, making these portraits pop with beautiful subject separation. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet and quick the autofocus is during a shoot. Definitely a stellar upgrade for my low-light work.
