Canon ES79II Lens Hood

The bayonet mount locks on with a satisfying click, and it’s made a real difference shooting into the sun with my 85mm. Glare that used to wash out my shots is completely gone, and it feels sturdy enough to survive in my bag for years.

I’ve been using this hood on my 85mm f/1.2L for a few weeks now and it does a great job cutting out flare in backlit shots. The fit is snug and secure without being too tight, which was a relief.

Installing this hood was a breeze and it completely eliminated flare when I shot directly into the sun with the 80-200mm. The locking mechanism feels solid and secure even in a crowded bag.
