عدسة Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

I’ve been using this lens for indoor concert shots, and the f/1.4 aperture lets in just enough light to keep shutter speeds fast without needing flash. The sharpness at f/1.8 is surprisingly good, too.

The autofocus on this lens is whisper-quiet and locks on fast, even in dim church light where my zoom was hunting. Sharpness right at f/1.4 surprised me, detail in the shadows is incredible.

The shallow depth of field at f/1.4 is amazing for portraits, and I’m surprised how little chromatic aberration there is even wide open. Autofocus is quick and quiet, making it perfect for capturing candid shots in dim restaurants without disturbing anyone.
